LADY COUGAR VOLLEYBALL INKS CLUB TEAMMATES AS FIRST SIGNEES

Coach Randy Evans dipped into his past and present to sign his first two future volleyball players in Berean Academy's Libby Smith and Sale Creek's Ariana Smith.  Libby and Ariana have been club teammates for last few years and have become close friends over those years to the point where they both attended each other's signings.

Libby became the official first signee by a couple of hours when surrounded by teammates and friends she signed.  Berean Academy has won the Tennessee Association of Christian Schools state championship three of the four past year; finishing second the other year.  Libby is a two-time MVP in the TACS tournament.

Ariana signed later in the afternoon on the same day in a similar celebration of her decision.  She had 448 kills and 758 digs for a Sale Creek team that qualified for the TSSAA Class A Tournament.  Her high school coach is former Lady Cougar basketball player and Athletic Hall of Fame member Debbie Hill.

Coach Evans is a Sale Creek alumni and friends with Ariana's family while his connection came from his time coaching volleyball at the high school and club level.
