COUGARS "SHOOT" TO VICTORY OVER BRYAN JV
The Cougars traveled across the Tennessee river Tuesday night to take on the junior varsity squad from Bryan College. The result was the same as last week as Cleveland State jumped out early and kept the foot on the pedal on the way to a 126-62 victory over the Lions.
The Cougars shot 61.3% from the field for the contest which included hitting 16 of 34 three point tries for 47.1%. The highlight show belonged to Gabe Dando. The freshman guard from Alcoa only had to step on the floor to be in range from long distance. He would connect on 9 of 11 three point attempts. He finished the night with 29 points.
Dando and Travis Jones would lead six players in double digits. Jones would be the top scorer with 31 points as well as handing out seven assists. Ralph Eason would be next with 17 points, 12 assists, and four steals on the night. Jameico McPherson would be next with 14 points and nine rebounds.
Kahan Swift would finish with 11 points while Trey Suttles would reach a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
