COUGARS FALL 85-79 ON THE ROAD
The Cougars tasted defeat for the third time this year as they fell to the hot shooting Chattanooga State Tigers by a 85-79 final. Crucial mistakes in the last couple of minutes of play hurt the Cleveland State's chance of an important road win to close the first semester of action. The Cougars stand 10-3 overall, 5-2 in conference play.
The contest was evenly fought right from the tip. Neither team could ever gain solid mometum on the other as each team knocked down contested shots or came up with superb defensive play.
Trey Suttles led three Cougars in double digits with 23 points. He was joined by Ralph Eason and Filipe Goncalves who each scored 16 points. Settles, Eason, and Travis Jones each had seven rebounds to lead the team while Jones had nine assists.
