DYERSBURG KEEPS LADIES OUT OF CONFERENCE WIN COLUMN
The Lady Cougars saw a late lead evaporate in the closing minutes as the Lady Eagles won 70-62 to keep the Cleveland State winless in conference play. The ladies had an eight point lead late in the second half only to see Dyersburg hit some key baskets to tie the game with two minutes left. Cleveland State couldn't find the bottom of the basket and some costly turnovers sealed their fate in the last minutes.
Cierra Anderson would the lead the ladies in scoring with 15 points and rebounds with eight. Jara Gasper would be the only other Lady Cougar to reach double digits with 11 points. Once again it was poor shooting from the field that doomed Cleveland State as they shot only 34.4% from the field as well as 53.3% from the free throw line.
