LADY COUGARS PULL AWAY IN SECOND HALF, DEFEAT WEST GEORGIA TECH
The Lady Cougars ride a four game winning streak into the Thanksgiving break as they defeated the Golden Knights of West Georgia Tech 84-55. Cleveland State would never trail in the contest as they move to 5-3 on the seaon.
The first half was a hard fought contest, but a 7-0 run with two minutes left by the Lady Cougars would send them to the break up by nine, 41-32. They would increas the lead into double digits early in the second half. The lead would swell to 20 with six minutes left, and the ladies would never look back.
Ciera Anderson would lead the way with 28 points while pulling down seven rebounds. Hannah Brown and Shadave Taylor would also reach double digits in the win with 15 and 12 points. Taylor would also pass out six assists and claim four steals to lead the team. Chelsea Jones only managed four points, but led the squad with ten rebounds.
