Men's Basketball saw their winning streak come to an end on Wednesday evening, falling 59-45 to Walters State in Morristown, Tenn.
The game was tight going into the locker room at halftime, with the Cougars leading the Senators 24-21 at the break. They led by as much as seven points at the 18:27 mark of the second half. Walters State went on a 6-0 run at the 15:09 to give them a 30-29 lead and Cleveland State was never able to regain momentum.
Jaquez Hicks had a double-double, leading the Cougars in scoring with 12 points and tying for the team lead with Jadakiss Williams with 11 rebounds. Demonte Person lead all scorers with six assists.
Cleveland State will hope to bounce back on Saturday in their next game when they host Jackson State. Tip-off is set for 4:00 ET.
