The Cpougars dropped a close contest on the road Saturday afternoon to the East leading Motlow State Bucks 72-64. Leading by nine points at the halftime break, the Cougars saw their hosts outscore them in the seond half by 43-26 win to give Cleveland their first loss since their last matchup.
Damian Forrest led a quartet of scorers in double figures with 17 points to go with a team high ten rebounds. Khristian Green, Maurice Dickson, and Myles Tucker followed with 12, 11, and 10 points.
The Cougars currently have a 6-4 conference record which has them tied with Walters State. Their next game will be against Chattanooga State on Wednesday, March 17, at approximately 7:30p.m. following the conclusion of the women's game.
