XAVIER WASHINGTON TO JOIN FRANKLIN AT P32 SHOWCASE

Rising sophomore Xavier Washington has been invited to the P32 Juco Showcase this weekend at the Memphis Sports and Event Center in Memphis, Tennessee.  The event is being held Saturday and Sunday, July 18 & 19.  He will be joining teammate Kedrick Franklin at the event.

Washington, A 6'4" guard from Nashville, appeared in 26 games this past season for the Cougars.  He started 22 games, averaging 13.2 points a contest as the Cougars' leading scorer.  He was good on 41.1% of his shots from the field as he connected on 117 of 285 shots.  He was good on 53 of 133 shots from 3-point range (39.8%).  He was good on 69.5% of his shots from the free throw line (57 of 82).  He averaged right at 3 rebounds and one steal per game. 

He will be a part of a Cougar squad returning six players who saw time this past season.  The Cougars finished the year with a 12-15 overall record and an 8-12 conferennce record.
