Cleveland State Golf Wins! Sunday March 27 was a big day for Cougar Golf as they increased their 11 shot lead to 14 and won the Alice Lloyd Spring Invitational. In the field of eight Indiana University East came in second while Shawnee State came in third.
March 14 and 15 Cougar Golf will be in Foley Alabama competing in the Glenlakes Invitational, hosted by Central Alabama Community College. The field of 14 teams will feature Cleveland State along with Central Alabama, Wallace State, Snead State and Calhoun Community College. Representation from Florida includes Eastern Florida State and from Mississippi, Mississippi Gulf Coast. Rounding out the competition includes Meridian, Coastal Alabama, Bishop State, Andrew, ABAC, Southern Union and Jefferson State.
The Cleveland State men’s golf team played two rounds on February 28 at the ABAC sponsored golf tournament with a combined team total of 627 on the Springhill Country Club golf course with Central Alabama sits atop the leaderboard in first place with a total of 605.
The Cleveland State men’s golf team finished the ABAC Invitational Tournament sixth in a field of nine with a three-round total of 944 with the third-round completion on March 1 at the Springhill Country Club in Tifton GA.
