PREVIEW: Cougars Travel For Welch Tri-Match

Volleyball will conclude their road trip on Saturday with a trip to Gallatin, Tenn. to face both Alice Lloyd College and Welch College in Welch's tri-match. The first match with the Lady Eagles will begin at 2:00 ET and the Lady Cougars will then face the hosting Lady Flames at 4:00 ET.

Cleveland State (0-3) is still hunting for their first win of the season. They have played extremely well at points, especially in the third set of their last two matches, but have faced explosive offensives up to this point that have proved too much to overcome.

Alice Lloyd, a member of the NCCAA, will play their first game of the season tonight at 7:00 ET. The Lady Eagles went 10-14 last year. This is the first time in Cleveland State's three-year program history they will square off with the college from Pippas Passes, Ky.

Welch College will also be opening their season this weekend, with this tri-match being their first match of the season. The Lady Flames went 12-10 last season. The Lady Cougars are 3-0 against Welch. The two schools last faced each other on Oct. 14, 2017, with Cleveland State edging out a narrow 3-2 victory.

After these two games on Saturday, the Lady Cougars will return to their home floor to face Bryan College JV on Tuesday. Match time is set for 7:00 ET.
