PREVIEW: Lady Cougars Return Home to Face Bryan JV
The Lady Cougars are 3-0 against the Lady Lions all-time and will look to carry momentum from their first win of the season Saturday into this match.
Volleyball will return home on Tuesday after a four-match road trip to face Bryan College JV at 7:00 ET. The Lady Cougars (1-4) secured their first win of the season on Saturday, defeating Alice Lloyd 3-0 in the first game of their tri-match at Welch College.
It was a strong weekend for the Lady Cougars, with reigning Lady Cougar of the Week Aly Grace Lemons leading the charge with 22 kills in the two-game slate on Saturday. Cleveland State will look to continue battling offensively as they squad off with the Lady Lions, who they are 3-0 against since their program began in 2017. They have also swept the last two meetings against Bryan JV.
The Lady Lions of Bryan JV are 0-1 to start their season, falling to fellow TCCAA foe Walters State 3-0 on Aug. 28.
After this contest, the Lady Cougars will visit Johnson University for a brief, one-match road trip on Thursday at 7:00 ET.
