Lady Cougars Top Tennessee Wesleyan JV
On February 26, Cleveland State (3-6) hosted Tennessee Wesleyan JV and won the only game played that day 15-5, banging out 17 hits including six doubles. The second game of the scheduled doubleheader was called due to rain. Emily Higgins started for the Cougars and won her first game of the season, pitching three innings, striking out five in the five inning game. Hadley Burnette pitched the final two innings and did not allow a hit. Cleveland State scored in every inning with five in the first, five in the second, four in the third and one in the fourth for the final run of the 15. Hope Ingle and Eden Frazier had three hits each as Frazier along with Sarah Morris each drove in three runs in the game. Slashing two hits each were Makala Strickland, Bailee Phillips, Morris, Madison Miner and Avary Weeks. Lexi Vogel had one hit while Carlynn Atamaniuk walked twice. On Tuesday March 1 at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. EST the Cougars will host Snead State at Cougar Softball Field on the Campus of Cleveland State. Admission is eight dollars per pers
