Cleveland State Volleyball's falls short in their first Conference match of the 2021-22 Season
Cleveland State Volleyball's first conference match of the 2021-22 season was a tough one, as they fell short to Chattanooga State 3-0.
The Lady Cougars came up short in the first set as they trailed behind the Lady Tigers the whole set losing 25-15.
Though, The Lady Cougars fought a hard fight leading the second set 16-13 the Lady Tigers hit a hot streak going ahead 17-16. The lady Cougars tied it back up 18-18 but eventually fell short 25-21.
Set three Cleveland State went ahead 6-0 with a hot hand from Sophomore Sydney Allen. The Lady Cougars led the set until the Lady Tigers stormed back to defend their home floor, winning the set 25-22.
The Lady Cougars had 17 kills, 54 digs, and 2 blocks in tonight's match . With Sophomore Kacie Hughes leading the team with 15 digs, Sophomore Madeline Dasher leading with 5 kills and Freshman Bri Parks and Sophomore Megan Lee both with 1 block apiece.
Cleveland State will travel to Nashville, TN tomorrow September 8, 2021 to take on Trevecca Nazarene. First serve is set for 7:30 PMcst.
