LADY COUGARS WIN OVER LADY TIGERS 63-48

The Lady Cougars took to the road for their final conference contest before the holiday break.  It was a successful trip as they defeated the Lady Tigers of Chattanooga State by a 63-48 final.

It is the first time this year that the ladies' conference record is over .500 at 4-3.  It puts them into a tie with Chattanooga State who fell to 4-3 with the loss.  It was not necessarily good shooting that propelled the ladies to victory, but solid defense on their opponents' top scorers as well as shooting 81% from the free throw line.

Cierra Anderson led the way for the ladies with a double-double as she scored 17 points while pulling down a team high 11 rebounds.  Robyn Anthony would also reach double digits with 15 points as well as a team high five steals.  Jara Gasper would finish the game with 10 points, six rebounds, and three steals.
