COUGARS KEEP ON THEIR WINNING WAYS AGAINST DYERSBURG
Cleveland State stayed perfect for the season with a convincing 87-71 victory over the Eagles of Dyersburg State. The Cougars rode the hot hand of Gabe Dando in the first half as they built a 17 point lead, 43-26, at the half. The lead would grow as much as 25 in the second half, but late baskets by the Eagles would trim the game to its final margin.
Dando would finish the night connecting on 5 of 8 shots from behind the arc to lead the team with 15 points. Ralph Eason would be right behind him with 14 points as well as grabbing seven rebounds and dishing out six assists. Travis Jones would score only six points but lead the squad with seven assists.
Four other Cougars reached double digits for the contest. Kahan Swift would reach a double double with 12 points and 15 rebounds. Filippe Goncalves and Timothy Triplett would each with 11 points off the bench, and Trey Suttles would finish with 10 points and six rebounds.
