COUGARS RALLY LATE, TAKE 77-67 WIN OVER JACKSON
The Cougars found themselves down 63-56 to the Generals of Jackson State with five minutes remaining. They would go on a 21-4 run in those last five minutes to secure a hard fought victory over their hosts. Both teams exchanged buckets in the first half as the Cougars would hold a slim 34-33 at halftime. Jackson would come out in the second half and take control of the contest. However, the Cougars found the light switch in the last five minutes both offensively and defensively. Cleveland rode the hot hands of Cam Copeland and Victor Curry as they accounted for 32 of the Cougars' 43 second half points.
Curry would end the contest with 25 points as well as a team high 18 rebounds. Copeland would finish 20 points to go with five assists and two steals. Tevin Olison and Delaino Walker each finished with 12 points.
Olison would match Copeland with five assists and two steals. WAlker would support Curry with seven reounds.
