Cleveland State Volleyball Opens the 2023 Season on the Road
Its regular season time again as Cleveland State Volleyball travels to Reinhardt University on August 29 for a 6:30 p.m. EST start time as the Cougars will play six straight games on the road before their home opener on Tuesday, September 12 vs conference rival Roane State.

Its regular season time again as Cleveland State Volleyball travels to Reinhardt University on August 29 for a 6:30 p.m. EST start time as the Cougars will play six straight games on the road before their home opener on Tuesday, September 12 vs conference rival Roane State. One of the early road matches includes a conference match vs newcomer Pellissippi State on Tuesday September 5.
The Cougars played Reinhardt in the fall of 2022 and lost a hard fought match 3-2 winning sets one and three 26-24 and 25-23 respectively while eventually losing the final set 15-12.
Head Coach Alizabeth Atnip looks to develop a young team with sparkplug sophomore Taylor Hancock returning for her second year as the catalyst to lead the play in all out hustle action. Currently Roane State and Walters State have started the 2023 season and are both undefeated.
The Tennessee Community College Athletic Association is the umbrella conference for five teams which includes Cleveland State, Chattanooga State, Pellissippi State, Roane State and Walters State.
