COUGAR VOLLEYBALL LOSES IN FIVE AT BRYAN COLLEGE
Cleveland State Volleyball travelled to Bryan College on thursday August 31 and lost a hard fought five set match to Bryan putting their record on the season at 0-2. The back and forth match saw the sets tied at 2 apiece as the Cougars lost at the end 16-14. Bryan took games sets one and three 25-21 and 25-23 respectively while Cleveland State won set two 27-25 and set four 25-17.
In spirited team play Cougar Taylor Hancock was all over the floor with 39 Digs while Kaydence Houston joined in with 14 with Samantha daniels at seven and six by Amanda Hatfield. Hancock also kicked in with four Aces.
Cleveland State shared in Kill shots as Houston had 13, nine by Daniels, Ella Johnson with eight and Hatfield with seven. Assist leaders included Johnson at 35 and Ryleigh McGinnis with 10.
The next challenge for Cougar Volleyball comes on Saturday September 2 as they travel to Cuthbert Georiga to play Andrew College in two matches with start times of 12 and 2 p.m. EST. Currently Andrew is 0-5 on the season.
