Cougar Golf Finishes 2nd at the Shorter Hawk Spring Invitational
Round two of the Shorter Hawk Spring Invitational at Stonebridge Golf Club in Rome Georgia on Tuesday April 5 saw Cleveland State Golf tie in the top spot with Shorter College and Kentucky State University as each team shot a 297. Final tally of the two day tournament placed Cleveland State with a second place finish along with Shorter. Kentucky State was the eventual winner.
Individually, Cougar golfer Cain Stover tied for the lead at the end of play came up short in sudden death golf coming in second to a fourth hole birdie. Dalton Sutton came in fourth while Reese McFatter tied for 14th. Owen Krueger ended in a 26th place tie while Nic Ravnborg came in at 46.
Cleveland State's next competition is at the NJCAA Southeast District Golf Tournament on April 25.
