Cleveland State Golf Qualifies for the Nationals
Cleveland State Golf is headed to the 2023 National Tournament qualifying at the NJCAA DII Southeast District Championship by finishing third with round scores of 294, 285 and 295 for a total of 874.
The three round tournament was played at the Bristol Country Club in Bristol Tennessee on April 24-26. Roane State and Walters State will join the Cougars as the three Tennessee Community College Athletic Association teams came out on top of a field of Abraham Baldwin College, Hagerstown CC, Patrick Henry CC, Davidson-Davie CC, Northeastern Tech and Southwest Virginia CC.
Individually for the Cougars, Dalton Sutton finished tied at four with a score of 212 while Cain Stover shot a 216 good for a sixth place finish. Nic Ravnborg tied for 17th with a 225 while Owen Krueger at 226 came in tied at 19 with Reese McFatter shooting a 229 placing him 22nd.
The 2023 NJCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship is slated to be played May 23-26 in Plymouth Indiana at the Swan Lake Resort.
