Cleveland State completed the three game series sweep against Vincennes University winning 8-7 in game two of today's double header.
Third basemen Chris Caffrey hit a go ahead double driving in two runs in the bottom of the fifth. The Cougars added two more in the inning to take an 8-5 lead, and the insurance runs were needed.
Pitcher Brandon Leonard came in the top of the sixth and pitched the final two innings to earn the save, striking out the final batter of the game with a man on third.
The Cougars (6-1) are scheduled to host Gordon State College on Tuesday, February 17 at 2:00 p.m.
