New York Mets Draft Cougars Ace Pitcher Jake Wyrick
In the 38th round of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft the New York Mets selected Cougars freshman pitcher Jake Wyrick.
The New York Mets selected Cleveland State's ace pitcher Jake Wyrick in the 38th round of the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft yesterday.
This season Wyrick won the TCCAA pitcher of the week award twice and was named to the TCCAA all conference second team.
The freshman recorded a 3.82 E.R.A pitching 70.2 innings striking out 76 while posting a 3-2 record.
Wyrick currently resides in and is a native of Cleveland, TN.
