CHRIS CAFFREY CHOOSES SOUTHEAST MISSOURI OF THE OVC
Chris Caffrey recently committed to the Southeast Missouri University Redhawk baseball team for the 2015-2016 season. Caffrey, a sophomore from Cleveland, has played third base for the Cougars the past two seasons. Although primarily a third baseman here at Cleveland State, his versatility should play well into his future as a Redhawk.
Over two seasons, Caffrey has played in 91 games accumulating a .312 career batting average. He has 89 hits in those two years with 20 doubles, 1 triple, and seven home runs. He has 58 RBIs and has stolen three bases.
The Redhawks compete in the Ohio Valley Conference where they were 36-23 this past season. They finished first in the regular season standings, but were defeated in the championship game of the OVC Tournament by Morehead State, the #2 seed.
