COUGAR GOLF FINISHES FOURTH IN PELLISSIPPI STATE INVITATIONAL
The Cleveland golf team made the trek up I-75 at the first of the week to compete in the Pellissippi State Invitational. They would finish fourth in the shortened event as a snowy Monday delayed the start of the event. All teams would complete the first round on Tuesday, but cold conditions would allow only a second round consisting of nine holes on the back nine of the course.
Cleveland would have rounds of 306 and 154 for a final score of +28 for the event. Carson Minish would card a 75-39-113 (+5) whih was good for seventh place individually. Tripp Hall would be a stroke behind with a 75-39-114 (+6) for an eighth place finish for the day.
Joseph Sadler and Seth Moore each would finish in a tie for 23rd place. Sadler would shoot 82-36-118 and Moore would post a 78-40-118 to finish 10 over par. Ethan Johansen would card a 79-42-121 (+13) to finish in 35th place. Isaac Lambert competed as an individual and posted a 82-37-119 (_11) for a 30th place finish. There was a total of 52 golfers to compete in the event.
The team will return to action on March 30 as they will host the Cleveland State Invitational which will be held at the Nob North Golf Couse in Varnell (GA).
