GOLF'S TRIPP HALL FINISHES TIED FOR 39TH IN NATIONAL TOURNAMENT
Although the Cleveland State golf team didn't qualify for the 2026 NJCAA Division II Golf Championship, Tripp Hall qualified to participate as an individual. He would compete in the event and end up in a tie for 39th place out of 148 golfers who were in the championship.
Hall would post a score of 12 over par for the four day event. He would post rounds of 77-72-81-70-300.
in the first round, he would go out in the first nine holes to post a 42 with three double dogeys and a triple bogey, but rebound on the back nine with two birdies and a bogey to finish the round five over par 77 on the day.
In is second round, he would triple bogey the same hole from the first round, but rebound with six birdies with three bogeys to come in with a 72 shooting even par.
The third round was a struggle as he managed two birdies, but had six bogeys, a double, and a triple bogey to finish 9 over par with an 81 on the day.
His final round would see him score six birdies to go with four bogeys to finish with a 70 (2 under par) for the day.
His 12 over par put him a group of five players to post that score and finish in 39th place.
