The opening contest of the night saw both women's teams battle back and forth duing the night. A Damoni Kpana three-pointer at the end of regulation forced an extra five minutes. In the end, Chattanooga pulled away in overtime to secure a 70-65 win. The loss dropped the teams' overall record to 11-8 and their conference record to 5-6 on the season.
Macie Collins led the way with 18 points. She was followed by Mar'Nazha Houston with 15 points and Sloan Pender with 14 points. Ziara Thompson finished with eight points in the game.
Houston led the way with seven rebounds followed by Kayla Lopez with six boards. Pender and Kennedy Baker each had five rebounds in the contest.
Lopez and Collins led the way with five assists each while Baker had four. Collins had five steals in the game with Lopez and Baker each collecting three on the night.
The ladies hit the road this Wedneasday as they travle to league leader Walters State. They return home on Saturday, February 7, to host Columbia State with a 2pm EST start.
