Women's basketball made it two wins in arow as they defeated Roane State by a 62-32 final. This increases the team's overall record to 13-12 with a conference record of 7-11.
Things started slowly for the women Wednesday as they found themselves down 12-10 after the first quarter. they would outscore their hosts 52-20 over the next three quarters for the win.
Four ladiesreached double figures led by Mar'Nazha Houston with 18 points. She was followed by Kennedy Baker with 12 points, Sloan Pender with 11, and Erin Dixon finished the night with ten.
Baker and Houston recorded double-doubles as Baker led the team with 15 rebounds while Houston finished the night with ten boards. Dixon would pull down seven rebounds in the contest.
Kayla Lopez led the squad with seven assists followed by Baker with three and Macie Collins finished with two on the night. Collis would lead the way with four steals while Damoni Kpana and Ziara Thompson each finished with two steals.
The team will be at home this Saturday when they compete against Southwest Tennessee in a conference tilt. Game time is set for 2pm EST.
