Holding on a to a lead late in their contest against Motlow State, they were outscored 15-10 in the last few minutes to suffer a 78-74 loss to the Bucks. The Cougars led by three at the half, but were outscored 44-37 in the second half.
Xavier Washington led a trio of scorers in double digits with 17 points. Ryan Neal was next with 15 points wwhile A.J. Horton finished with 11 in the contest.
Washington had nine rebounds in the game followed by Horton with six boards. Brandon Lanier and Turner each finished with five caroms.
Zechariah Canidate led the team with 3 assists while Horton and Jacob Turner each had two in the game. Canidate also had three steals to lead the squad.
