MESSER NAMED VOLLEYBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK FOR SECOND TIME THIS SEASON
For the second time this season, Isabella Messer was named the TCCAA Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending October 5th.
She helped the Cougars to two wins in their three matches during the week. They defeated Walters State 3-0 in an important conference matchup early in the week and then defeated Northwest Shoals CC (AL) 3-2 to end the week. They suffered their first defeat fo the year as they fell to Gadsden State CC (AL) 3-2 during the week.
In the three matches, she had 79 digs, two servie aces, and had 88 receptions on serve. She had one kill and 18 assists on offense.
This is the third time she has been named defensive player of the week. She was honored once during her freshman year.
