COUGAR VOLLEYBALL DEFEATS DYERSBURG ON THE ROAD 3-0
The volleyball team took to the road to West Tennessee for a two match road trip this weekend. Their first match was a success as they defeated the Eagles of Dyersburg Staate 3-0. The set scores were 25-21, 25-13, and 25-16.
This bring the Cougar's overall record to 15-1 and 8-0 in conference play.
Kennedy Caudill led with eight kils on the night to go with three blocks. Zowee dillard was next with seven kills to go with five digs. Jayla Gillespie, Piper Bowers, and Elanee Cotter followed with six in the match. Bowers had 21 assists and Brooklyn Mathis finished with 13 for the contest.
Mathis and Bowers each finished with two service aces. Megan Crocker, Isabella Messer, Megan Crocker, and Bowers each had 11 digs. Marissa Ray had nine digs and Caroline Church finished with eight. Bowers also had two blocks on the evening.
Next up for the team is Jackson State on Saturday afternoon before returning home on the 14th to hos the Roane State Raiders.
