The Cougar volleyball team ended their season with two non conference wins. On Saturday, the defeated Snead State 3-0, ended the regular season with a 3-0 victory over the University of the Cumberlands junior varsity.
In their match against Snead, they won 25-11, 25-19, & 25-22. The sophompores were recognized on the day, and they won with a total team effort.
Once again, Zowee Dillard and Aaliyah Rodgers spearheaded the attack. Dillard had 12 kills as well as 12 digs in the contest. Rodgers had 10 kills to go with ten digs and three block assists. Elanee Cotter had nine kills. Piper Bowers led with 30 assists with two service aces and three block assists.
Isabella Messer shared team high with Dillard with 12 digs. Kennedy Caudill hade four block assists to leaed the team. Cotter and Caroline Church each had two block assists.
In their match against Cumberlands, the set scores were 25-14, 25-12, & 25-12.
Church and Rodgers led the way with nine kills. Caudill and Dillard each finished with five in the match. Bowers would lead the way with 25 assists and four service aces.
Messer and Dillard led the squad with nine digs. Dillard was next with five for the match. Dillard also had two aces. Church had three block assists while Rodgersw had two for the day.
The Cougars ended the regular season with a 22-2 ovewrall record. They now prepare for the TCCAAQ/NJCAA Region VII Tournament being held at Walters State October 3-November 1.
