VOLLEYBALL PREVIEW: CONFERENCE PLAY HIGHLIGHTS WEEK'S GAMES
The Cleveland State volleyball squad faces an important week as they will play three conference matches this week. First action will be tonight as they travel to face Roane State. Then, this weekend, they will face Dyersburg State on Friday and conference leader Jackson State on Saturday. the Cougars sit at 6-0 on the season with a 1-0 record in conference play.
The Cougars are still led by Aaliyah Rodgers wwith 56 kills this season. Zowee dillard and Saylor Clark are not far behind with 43 kills apiece. Kennedy Caudill has 23 and Caroline Church has 20. Piper Bowers has 13 kills to go with her team leading 145 assists. Isabella Messer and Megan Crocker are next with 20 and 18 assists. Bowers also leads the squad with 15 service aces. she is followed by Rodgers with 12 while dillard and Messer each have 11 on the season. Messer has 71 digs this year followed by Bowers with 44. Clark has 36 and Rodgers has 32 while dillard has 26 digs this year. Church has eight total blocks while Bowers and Caudill each have this year.
Roane State has a 2-9 overall record with a 1-2 conference reord going into tonight's match. They currently have an attack percentage of .041%. They average 6.63 assists per set with 59 service aces. They average 16.37 digs a set with 36 total blocks.
Dyersburg State currently has a 1-8 overall record with an 0-3 record in conference play. They have an attack percentage of .055%. They average 5.52 assists per set with 55 service aces. They average 15.48 digs a set with 23 total blocks.
Jackson State is sporting a 10-3 overall record with a 3-0 record in conference play. They have an attack percentage of .155%. They average 9.35 assists per set with 155 service aces. They average 13.94 digs a set with 70 total blocks.
