VOLLEYBALL SEES SEASON END IN SOUTHEASTERN DISTRICT
Cleveland State volleyball saw their season come to an end on Friday afternoon in the Southeastern District A playoof at Pellisippi State in Knoxville. The Cougars fell to NJCCAA Region X champion Davidson-Davie Community College by a 3-1 final.
Davidson-Daie took the first two sets of the match 25-17 & 25-21. Cleveland would take the third match 25-14 before losing the fourth set 25-21. The Cougars see their season end with a 23-4 overall record, best in the program's history.
Zowee Dillard and Aaliyah Rodgers led the attack for the Cougars. Dillard had 16 kills while Rodgers had eleven in the match. Elanee otter would finish with seven kills. Piper Bowers would out 28 assists on the day. Rodgers, Megan Crocker, and Isabella Messer each would have a service ace.
Messer would lead the way with 29 digs in the contest. Rodgers would have 16 while Megan Crocker would finish with ten. Caroline Church would have a solo block plus four block assists. Kennedy Caudill would join Rodgers, Bowers, and dillard with two block assists.
